The 2013 Harvest Festival is on Sat, 12 Jan 2013 from 10:00 AM – 07:00 PM in the relaxed atmosphere of the McLaren Vale Oval. An avenue of brilliantly coloured flags will lead to a boulevard of stalls offering outstanding regional fare. The combination of food, wine, music and a good crowd vibe in an outdoor setting will come together to make this a memorable day.
This is a family event with a fantastic range of activities to keep the kids happy including face painting, crafts, pizza making and pony rides. The adults can see cooking demonstrations, one featuring Simon Bryant of Cook and The Chef fame, and join in cheese, olive oil, beer and of course wine masterclasses.
The day extends into the evening with a great line-up of bands performing in an open air concert. Admission is free!
A range of revamped McMurtrie Mile experiences was launched at Red Poles Cafe on 13 Dec. The popular $15 “Passport” option will continue where you can collect five Spieglau glasses if you spend $25 at each venue. The exciting news is that two new experiences have been added, a self drive Gourmet Tour for $99 and a Hosted Tour for $195.
Both are full day tours that include six sites, Red Poles, Wirra Wirra, High Hamilton, Sabella, Primo Estate and the Vale Inn. A two course lunch is served at Red Poles and the other sites offer unique tasting, winery and vineyard experiences that are exclusive to McMurtrie Mile patrons. Click here for more info.
Bookings for the Gourmet Tour and Hosted Tour are essential. Book online or ring Ros at Red Poles on 08 8323 8994.
